Professional Objective
To enable families of children with disabilities, to achieve acceptance, understanding of their child’s strengths and weaknesses, and to pursue the highest expectations for their child in our schools and communities.

Professional History
  • Advocacy in the disability field at the family, grass roots, school, district, state and national levels for more than 25 years.
  • Professional and personal background in autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, Cowden syndrome, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, Autism, intellectual, learning, and emotional disabilities and deafness.
  • Taught for 10 years in Florida and New York Public Schools
  • Worked with over 40 schools in Central Florida and 47 school districts.
  • Presented at small informal parent meetings and conferences for parents, teachers, therapists, medical students, nurses, and school administrators.
  • Designed and implemented one to four day state-wide trainings including participant manuals.
  • Co-written 15 awards banquet scripts in the disability arena.
